Desde El Corazon Del Padre

Los cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios, el firmamento proclama la obra de sus manos (Salmo 19:1 NVI).

Últimamente he estado viajando mucho  -  más de lo que me gusta, realmente, aunque haya disfrutado mucho al unirme de nuevo con amigos(as) existentes y hacer nuevas amistades. Sin embargo, siempre es bueno estar de regreso en casa, ¿verdad? Pero una cosa que si noté, es que cuando entrecrucé los Estados Unidos varias veces en los pocos meses pasados: sin tener en cuenta el lugar en donde me encontraba, cuando alzaba la vista al cielo, yo sabía que Dios estaba allí, sentado en Su trono, soberano y cariñoso y fiel.

El salmista escribió que los cielos “cuentan”  la gloria de Dios y los cielos "proclaman" Su obra. El simple hecho que las estrellas han sido colgadas en su lugar, y el sol y la luna siguen saliendo al tiempo indicado, nos recuerdan, del amor constante de Dios por nosotros. Ya sea que  estemos parados  en nuestro propio patio  o estemos en la terraza de un  hotel miles de millas lejos, Dios está tan  cerca de nosotros como el  propio latido de nuestro corazón.

Esto me da un gran conforte. A veces, durante mis viajes y los horarios ocupados que ellos implican, me canso – y más  aún a medida que envejezco. Pero Dios ha prometido que si me acerco fuertemente a Él, Él me usará para honrar Su nombre y bendecir a los demás, aún en mi vejez y sin tener en cuenta a  donde estoy o las circunstancias que me rodean.

La próxima vez que usted se encuentre pensando que quizás ya usted ha sobrevivido su utilidad o que usted está demasiado estropeado y lleno de defectos  para ser un vaso digno en las manos de Dios, párese donde usted esté y alce la vista, y luego recuerde las palabras del salmista: “los cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios; los cielos proclaman la obra de sus manos.” Como usted ve, no es lo que somos lo que importa,  solamente quién es  Él es lo importante. Por lo tanto, podemos avanzar con la confianza en todo lo que Él nos ha llamado y dotado  para que hagamos — hasta que tomemos nuestro último suspiro en la tierra.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands (Psalm 19:1, NIV).

I’ve been traveling a lot lately—more than I care to, actually, though I’ve so enjoyed reconnecting with existing friends and making new ones. Still, it’s good to be home, isn’t it? But one thing I noticed, as I crisscrossed the United States several times in the last few months: Regardless of where I was, when I looked up into the sky, I knew God was there, sitting on His throne, sovereign and kind and faithful.

The psalmist wrote that the heavens “declare” God’s glory and the skies “proclaim” His handiwork. The very fact that stars have been hung in place, and the sun and moon continue to rise on schedule, reminds us of God’s unchanging love for us. Whether we are standing in our own backyard or looking up from a hotel terrace thousands of miles away, God is as close to us as our own heartbeat.

That gives me great comfort. At times, during my travels and the busy schedules they entail, I grow weary—more so the older I get. But God has promised that if I will cling tightly to Him, He will use me to honor His name and to bless others, even in my old age and regardless of where I am or the circumstances that surround me.

The next time you find yourself thinking that perhaps you’ve outlived your usefulness or that you’re just too marred and flawed to be a worthy vessel in God’s hands, stop where you are and look up, and then remember the words of the psalmist: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” You see, it isn’t who we are but who He is that matters. Therefore, we can move forward with confidence into all that He has called and gifted us to do—right up until our very last breath on earth.
